Black College Club was founded on a simple belief: every student deserves access to opportunity. From our home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, we work to eliminate barriers and create pathways to higher education through mentorship, exposure, preparation, and community support.

Their vision in 1997 sparked a movement that continues to open doors for Fort Wayne students today.
A trailblazing educator and community advocate, Brenda helped lay the foundation of Black College Club with a vision of opening doors to higher education for Fort Wayne's youth. Her decades of leadership continue to guide the club's mission today.
A longtime champion of student achievement, Kevin has dedicated his career to mentoring young people and connecting them with the resources, exposure, and belief they need to pursue college and career pathways with confidence.
Directors & Board
A Fort Wayne native and Florida A&M MBA, Michelle is a people-focused leader who has chaired BCC for the past four years. A Delta Sigma Theta sister, former project lead for Harlem's Fashion Row, and a Reading Support Specialist for Fort Wayne Community Schools, she pours into students academically and emotionally.
A Northrop High and Wilberforce University graduate, LaDon spent 15+ years in Child Services before returning home to Fort Wayne in 2021. As co-president of BCC, she has helped reboot a decades-old staple of the community — guided by the belief that purpose is what happens in others when you do what you do.
A 10-year veteran of JP Morgan Chase specializing in retirement solutions, Malik is a proud FAMU alum, youth football coach with Metro Youth Services, and board member of Alliance Health Center. He brings financial discipline and a mentor's heart to BCC's mission.
With 20+ years across juvenile and adult community supervision and a Master's in Urban Education from Norfolk State, Patrice leads BCC strategy and events with equity at the center. Her favorite Maya Angelou line — "Learn so you can teach" — guides her work.
A proud Wiley College sociology graduate, Natasha brings a team-focused approach shaped by her HBCU student-athlete experience. She is passionate about helping young people see clear pathways to success — whether through college, the trades, or developing their talents.
