1. Age Requirement and Website Eligibility

This website is intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

By using this website, submitting information through an online form or opting into Black College Club communications, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

Individuals under 18 should not independently use this website to submit personal information, enroll in text messaging or complete forms intended for adult users.

Black College Club provides educational programs and services that may benefit individuals under 18. A parent or legal guardian may use this website to provide information about a minor for purposes such as program registration, event participation, scholarship consideration, college visits, educational activities or other Black College Club services.

By submitting information concerning a minor, you represent that you are the minor's parent or legal guardian and have authority to provide the information and make applicable decisions on the minor's behalf.

2. About Black College Club

Black College Club supports students and families through college preparation, educational programming, financial literacy, college exposure experiences, scholarships, community engagement and related initiatives.

Black College Club is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

3. Website Use

This website may be used to learn about Black College Club, register eligible participants for programs and events, make donations, volunteer, contact the organization and access available resources.

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with the operation, security or integrity of the website or submit information that you know to be false, fraudulent or misleading.

Black College Club may restrict access to the website when reasonably necessary to protect the organization, website users or its systems.

4. Programs, Services and Events

Program descriptions, dates, schedules, locations, eligibility requirements and availability may change.

Participation in a Black College Club program or submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance, scholarship funding, college admission, financial assistance or any particular educational outcome.

Programs serving minors may require additional consent forms, waivers, transportation permissions, emergency information, media releases or other documentation completed by a parent or legal guardian.

5. Information Submitted About Minors

Information about minors may be collected when a parent or legal guardian registers a child or dependent for an eligible Black College Club program, event or service.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that information submitted on behalf of a minor is accurate and that they have authority to provide it.

Black College Club may use information about minors only as reasonably necessary to provide, administer and evaluate applicable programs and services or as otherwise permitted by law.

6. Donations

Donations support Black College Club's charitable mission and programs.

Unless Black College Club expressly accepts a donation for a restricted purpose, donated funds may be used where the organization determines they are most needed to advance its charitable mission.

Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Information provided on the website does not constitute individual tax, accounting or legal advice. Donors should consult their own advisors regarding their circumstances.

7. Recurring Donations

If you select a recurring donation, you authorize Black College Club and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the frequency displayed when you make the donation.

Recurring contributions will continue until canceled. You may cancel future recurring contributions through available payment management tools or by contacting Black College Club.

Cancellation applies to future transactions and does not automatically require a refund of contributions that were previously processed.

8. Payment Processing

Black College Club may use third-party providers, including Stripe, to process payments and donations.

By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction. Payment services may also be governed by that provider's terms, privacy policy and security practices.

Black College Club generally does not receive or store complete payment card information.

9. Donation Refunds

Charitable contributions are generally considered final.

If you believe a donation was submitted in error, duplicated or processed for an incorrect amount, please contact Black College Club promptly. Refund requests will be considered based on the circumstances, applicable law and payment processor requirements.

10. Black College Club SMS and Text Messaging Program

The Black College Club SMS program is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older.

By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting into Black College Club text messaging, you consent to receive promotional and informational SMS or MMS communications from Black College Club.

Messages may include newsletters, organizational and program updates, event information and reminders, fundraising communications, donation opportunities and community news related to Black College Club.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of making a donation, participating in a program or receiving services from Black College Club.

A parent or legal guardian who provides information concerning a minor does not thereby enroll the minor in Black College Club's text messaging program. SMS consent applies only to the adult mobile number for which affirmative consent was provided.

Opting Out and Getting Help

You may stop receiving Black College Club text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message. You may receive one final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Message delivery is subject to transmission and availability through your wireless carrier and other telecommunications providers and cannot be guaranteed by Black College Club.

SMS Privacy

Mobile phone numbers, text messaging opt-in information and SMS consent will not be sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Consent provided to Black College Club applies specifically to Black College Club communications and is not transferable to another organization.

Service providers that support delivery of Black College Club communications may receive information only as reasonably necessary to provide messaging services and are not authorized to use your SMS consent for their own marketing purposes.

11. Email Communications

If you provide an email address, Black College Club may send communications related to your donation, program registration, volunteer activity, event participation or other relationship with the organization.

Where applicable, promotional email communications will provide an unsubscribe mechanism. Certain administrative or transactional communications may continue when necessary to provide a service you requested.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, content displayed on the Black College Club website, including text, logos, graphics, photographs, videos and designs, is owned by or licensed to Black College Club and may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Website materials may be viewed for personal, informational and noncommercial purposes. Content may not be copied, distributed, modified or commercially exploited without appropriate authorization.
